This role may be responsible for supporting inventory accounting, billing processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting while identifying opportunities to improve, automate, and simplify accounting processes. This position will engage, challenge, and provide fulfillment to a candidate with strong critical thinking skills and an economic focus, who enjoys collaborating with others, and who seeks to originate ideas that can provide new insights for our business.  This role will be based at our corporate headquarters in Wichita, KS.What You Will DoManage inventory accounting activities, including book-to-physical tie-outs, billing exceptions, discrepancy resolution, and ensuring timely and accurate invoice and payment processingPrepare balance sheet reconciliations and support regulatory and government reporting requirementsApply critical thinking to identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical solutions to accounting and business challengesChallenge existing processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and enhance accounting workflows through technology, data analytics, and AI-enabled solutionsLeverage reporting, analytics, and digital tools to identify trends, improve decision-making, and increase operational efficiencyPartner with Commercial, Operations, IT, and other business capabilities to deliver value and improve business outcomesWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Experience in Accounting, Finance or a similar roleExperience with Microsoft Office products, including Excel (spreadsheet creation/editing pivot tables, formula creation, etc.) and Access This role is not eligible for visa sponsorshipWhat Will Put You AheadBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a business-related disciplineExperience supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, or related transactional accounting processesExperience leading or supporting process improvement, automation, or business transformation initiativesExperience leveraging data, technology (Power BI, FSM), and AI-enabled tools (Copilot) to generate insights and improve outcomesAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
