Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Overland Park, Kansas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, evenings\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Evenings, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Aug 24, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Level 2 Trauma Center Emergency Department position on a 7P-7A schedule, requiring at least 2 years of ER/trauma experience and a KS or compact license.Details\n \n 24-bed Emergency Department in a Level 2 Trauma Center\n 1:4 patient ratios\n Unit staffed with 5 core RNs and unit secretary coverage 21 hours/day\n Uses Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Artic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps\n Charting completed in Meditech\n Mid-shift scheduling pattern with shifts as early as 10a-2230 and as late as 1300-0130\n Every third weekend required\n Floating is rare and only occurs after other staff have been flexed home\n 13-week assignment on a 7P-7A schedule\n Requirements\n \n Active KS or compact RN license required\n BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke certifications required\n CEN or TCRN certification preferred\n CPI certification preferred\n Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an Emergency/Trauma nurse in a Level 2 trauma center required\n Strong knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage required\n US SSN and date of birth required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Perform all procedures associated with Level 2 trauma center emergency care\n Utilize AIDET communication standards and whiteboards to support positive patient experience\n Maintain a positive, can-do attitude aligned with unit culture\n Required uniform: cobalt blue top with black or cobalt blue pants, solid color, and closed toe shoes\n Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted\n No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-743033.
