Clean Harbors, in Dickinson, TX, is searching for a reliable and safety oriented I&E Maintenance Technician with an excellent instrumentation and mechanical aptitude to join our safety-focused team!

The I&E Maintenance technician will be responsible for performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC/Delta V programming, along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the maintenance departments with various tasks as needed such as rebuilding diaphragm pumps, swapping motors, conducting preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions
• Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
• Maintains accurate records and logs as required
• Installs new system controls (including power wiring)
• Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers
• Services and replaces motors and lighting
• Performs general maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• HS Diploma or Equivalent - required;
• Instrumentation degree, or certification - preferred;
• 4+ years of I&E experience in a plant environment - preferred;
• Solid instrumentation skills - required;
• PLC Programming experience (Delta V is preferred) required;
• Honeywell experience - required;
• Distributed control system (DCS) experience - required;
• Installing VFDs (Variable Frequency Drive) - required;
• Mechanical aptitude and experience - required;
• Experience working with 480v and below - required;
• Proficiency in blueprint reading of electronic schematics - required;
• Proficiency in process and instrumentation diagrams (PID) - required;
• Team player willing to assist where needed - required;
• Ability to prioritize work - required;
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, lift, climb and stand for long periods of time - required;
