No Offer Description announces a competition for the position of Professor at the Institute of Health Sciences , Requirements Research Field Medical sciences » Health sciences Education Level PhD or equivalent Skills/Qualifications Applicants must meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and satisfy the following qualification criteria: hold the academic title of Professor in Medical Sciences and Health Sciences; have authored at least thirty articles published during the ten years preceding the competition in international scientific journals included in the list of the Minister of Science and Higher Education; possess scientometric indicators of at least: Hirsch Index (H-index) = 20 and a minimum of 1,000 citations according to the Web of Science Core Collection database; have at least ten years of teaching experience at a higher education institution; have experience in managerial positions or as a member of governing bodies at a higher education institution; have not been subject to disciplinary punishment during the last five years. Specific Requirements Additional Qualification Criteria authorization to practice as a dietitian pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of 10 July 2023 on the qualifications required for employees in specific positions in healthcare entities that are not entrepreneurs (Journal of Laws 2023, item 1515); hold the academic title of Professor in Medical Sciences and Health Sciences in the discipline of Health Sciences. Languages POLISH Level Mother Tongue Additional Information Selection process Required Documents Applicants are required to submit: an application for employment; copies of diplomas and documents confirming education and professional qualifications; copies of documents confirming professional experience; a declaration confirming compliance with Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science; a declaration stating that, if selected, the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Przemyśl will be the applicant's primary place of employment; consent to the processing of personal data for recruitment purposes; a criminal record certificate from the Polish National Criminal Register (KRK) concerning offences specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, Articles 189a and 207 of the Penal Code, and the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction, or corresponding offences under foreign law (required from Polish citizens and foreign nationals); a declaration listing the country or countries in which the applicant has resided during the last 20 years (other than Poland and the country of citizenship), together with criminal record certificates from those countries issued for professional or voluntary work involving contact with children (required from Polish citizens and foreign nationals); a criminal record certificate issued by the applicant's country of citizenship for professional or voluntary work involving contact with children, together with a certified translation, if applicable (required from foreign nationals who have resided in countries other than Poland or their country of citizenship). Applications will be accepted from 3 August 2026 to 14 August 2026 . The submission date is determined by the date of receipt at the Rector's Office or the postal stamp date. The Competition Committee reserves the right to conduct interviews with selected candidates. The competition will be concluded by 21 August 2026 . Successful candidates are expected to commence employment on 1 October 2026 . Applications that do not meet the formal requirements or are submitted after the deadline will not be considered. The State Academy of Applied Sciences in Przemyśl reserves the right not to resolve the competition without providing reasons. The Academy reserves the right to notify only the selected candidate of the competition outcome. A positive competition result does not automatically result in employment. It constitutes only a recommendation to the Rector, who makes the final employment decision.
