Applies broad knowledge of company product capabilities and service offerings with in-depth analysis of market position to create and expand the portfolio of products and solution alternatives. Works closely with product development to create products and validates early product definitions with customers. Uses technical expertise and extensive industry experience to formulate product strategies and identify new product opportunities. Responsible for developing project plans designed to address customer needs and/or expand market share.Location: Hybrid remote in Woodbridge, ON with 3 days on site and 2 days working remote.Responsibilities:Quality & Supply Chain SupportProcess overhaul, to drive lower Warranty Spend% of Revenue, and lower DOA% (Dead-on-Arrival), by collaborating seamlessly with R&D, Service, Manufacturing and Product team.Serve as the first point of triage for field quality escalations and supply chain issues — gathering information, routing to the appropriate owner (Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain), and tracking resolution to closureMaintain live escalation tracker for the product line; provide regular status updates to the Strategic PM and VP Product LineCoordinate with Operations and Supply Chain on parts availability, lead times, and backlog — communicating timeline impacts to commercial stakeholdersCommercial Operations SupportSupport the sales organization with product configuration guidance, compatibility questions, and order-specific queries that require product management inputMaintain and update competitive comparison resources, product FAQs, and technical specification sheets as product and competitive information evolvesTrack key product line KPIs — order intake, backlog, inventory, and field feedback — and provide regular reporting to the Strategic PMSupport NPI launches with operational readiness tasks: SAP setup, price book entry, configuration guide development, and sales team resource publicationPricing AdministrationAdminister and maintain the product line price book — updating pricing in systems, managing price exception tracking, and preparing periodic price review data for the Strategic PM's approvalSupport periodic list price review cycles: gathering competitive pricing data, preparing margin analysis, and coordinating system updates following approved changesProcess special pricing requests within delegated authority limits; escalate above-threshold requests to the Strategic PM with supporting dataSKU & Lifecycle ManagementMaintain the product line's SKU catalogue — adding new configurations, managing change notifications, and retiring discontinued products in coordination with Operations and Supply ChainSupport product lifecycle decisions (introduce, sustain, end-of-life) by preparing the operational analysis that informs the Strategic PM's recommendations to the VPOwn end-of-life communications and phase-out execution for discontinued products — coordinating inventory rundown, customer notification, and field communicationMaintain accurate product documentation — specifications, compatibility matrices, regional configuration guides — as the product line evolves through sustaining changesQualifications & ExperienceRequiredDemonstrated high agency and a hands-on approach, with a track record of taking initiative, overcoming roadblocks, and delivering tangible results in complex, matrixed organizations.Exceptional cross collaboration skills to translate ambiguous process, systems into clear and well defined KPIs, driving unified Scorecard approach – One team.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders, mentor product managers, and build consensus across departments.Minimum 2–7 years of experience in product/project management, marketing, product operations, or a closely related commercial or operational role within scientific instrumentation, analytical instruments, or laboratory equipmentFamiliarity with product lifecycle management concepts: SKU management, pricing administration, and product change managementStrong organizational skills and attention to detail — able to manage multiple concurrent operational workstreams without losing accuracy or follow-throughExperience working cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and commercial teams in a matrixed organisationProficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) for product data management, pricing, and order managementBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Business, or a related disciplinePreferredScientific or technical degree with hands-on laboratory experience — providing the technical grounding to understand product specifications and customer application contextExperience supporting a product launch in a product management or technical marketing capacity — familiarity with launch readiness tasks and go-to-market executionFamiliarity with analytical instrument categories relevant to the chrom product lineThe annual compensation range for this full-time position is $120,000.00 to $135,000.00.
