Job Title Peds Cardiovascular Technologist II Overview The Pediatric Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist II reports to the Cath Lab Supervisor and Interventional Cardiology and Imaging Manager. Under limited supervision, the Cardiovascular Technologist II assists physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac disease by performing and assisting in complex technical procedures, operates at a high level of technical competency, and models the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity. This role is responsible for the safe use of ionizing radiation for cardiovascular, EP, and interventional procedures on patients from neonate to adult congenital heart patients. This position works proficiently during heart catheterization, electrophysiology studies, ablations, and other cardiovascular interventional radiographic procedures with strong knowledge of normal and abnormal cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Responsibilities Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac disease by performing and assisting in complex technical procedures in the cath lab and related interventional settings. Operate with high technical competency and demonstrate initiative under limited supervision. Ensure safe use of ionizing radiation for cardiovascular, electrophysiology (EP), and interventional procedures across diverse patient populations. Contribute to procedures including heart catheterization, electrophysiology studies, ablations, and other interventional radiographic tasks. Maintain knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology to support accurate procedures and patient care. Education and Certifications Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Sciences, RT, or an accredited school for Cardiovascular Technology/CVT Licensure/Certification: ARRT, CVIS, CRT or CVT; licensure from SCRQSA; BLS for Healthcare Providers (current or within first 30 days); PALS and ACLS (completed within first 6 months of hire) Cath lab or cardiovascular specialty certification preferred Experience and Requirements Minimum: Associate's Degree or equivalent, and 1 year of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist I or similar role Required Licenses/Certifications: AART, RCIS or RCES with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); SCRQSA licensure; current AHA BLS Work Environment Rotating shifts Occasional overtime; latex-safe environment Related Information Equal Opportunity Employer statement and E-Verify participation are maintained.
