Our client, in Watertown SD , a precision metal fabrication and manufacturing company, is seeking a CNC Laser Operator / Machine Operator to join their team. As a CNC Laser Operator , you will be part of the production team supporting fabrication and operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and a safety‑first mindset which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: CNC Laser Operator / Machine Operator Location: Watertown SD Pay Range: 19.00 or More(DOE) What’s the Job? Set up and operate CNC laser equipment to cut sheet and plate steel according to blueprints and work orders Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring tools Load programs, stage materials, and make machine adjustments to maintain tolerance and quality standards Complete routine preventative maintenance, including cleaning, fluid checks, and consumable changes Move, tag, and stage finished material while completing required production and quality documentation What’s Needed? Ability to read blueprints, tape measures, and production documentation accurately Basic math, computer, and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of CNC machining processes, steel materials, and quality standards (SPC preferred) Experience operating manufacturing equipment (laser, CNC, or similar) Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices What’s in it for me?
