Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant - Property Management Verona, NJ | Full-Time We are partnering with a growing property management organization in the Verona, NJ area seeking a detail‑oriented and hands‑on Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and supporting a variety of accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines. Key Responsibilities Assist with the monthly general ledger close process, including preparation of journal entries Perform general ledger account reconciliations Complete monthly bank reconciliations Support internal and external financial reporting Assist with special projects and ad hoc accounting tasks Provide general support to the Accounting Department Contribute to process improvements and support overall company goals Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred Knowledge of GAAP Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and QuickBooks Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to consistently meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Hands‑on, team‑oriented approach Ability to maintain confidentiality of company financial information Strong work ethic and willingness to work additional hours during peak periods when needed Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in property management and/or residential construction environments preferred This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow their career within a collaborative and stable property management organization.
