Our associates celebrate lives. We celebrate our associates. Working from home, presents at‑need cemetery and pre‑need arrangement services and products to consumers. Responsible for achieving monthly sales target. As a self‑starter, develops relationships within the community to generate qualified leads. Follows up on leads generated from marketing campaigns to qualify lead and schedule sales appointments. Follow‑up with client families for referrals by establishing professional relationships and service excellence. Revenue Generation Responsible for attaining or exceeding monthly sales revenue quota. Apply sales skills, presenting the Dignity Memorial® Personal Planning Guide electronic PowerPoint presentations to consumers to inform them of at‑need cemetery and pre‑need arrangement services and products. Influence consumers on the benefits of pre‑planning for a soft close. Guide and tour prospective families through cemetery grounds or crematory mausoleums, actively listening to needs, asking probing questions, and discussing options. Develop an understanding of each family’s unique needs and offer solutions to meet those needs. Provide service beyond expectations to lay the foundation for future sales. Promote the SCI Brand and service excellence. Follow company processes and procedures, thoroughly and accurately complete contracts, and follow up on outstanding documents and family questions. Provide and walk families through the final contract and address final questions. Prospecting Self‑initiate leads throughout the community, professional networks, civic organizations, businesses, and other organizations by building professional and reliable relationships. Prospect at least 50% of the workday by approaching families face‑to‑face during events, door‑knocking, or seminars. Maintain and track activity levels in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to ensure productivity, often working nights and weekends. Obtain referrals from families served through after‑care visits (ACV). Schedule sales appointments and, based on qualifying lead, prepare marketing materials or cultural knowledge for appointments. Build Relationships with Families Establish and maintain professional and service‑oriented relationships with families by connecting, resolving concerns, and meeting commitments. Connect with families through listening, honest communication, and genuine concern. Support families in times of grief with acts of kindness; attend services and/or receptions. Represent a continuous link from services provided at need, through after‑care, to offering services that protect families in the future. Teamwork Collaborate and build professional working relationships with management and staff to provide high quality services and improve processes. Share family concerns with the rest of the SCI team. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred. Funeral Directors License where required by state law. Life Insurance license where required by state law; company will support obtaining licensing. Current state/province issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Sales experience preferred. Industry experience a plus. Previous Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems experience a plus. Skills and Abilities Computer and technology skills. Goal‑oriented self‑starter. Public speaking ability; comfortable presenting to small groups. Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently. Ability to work a significant number of evenings and weekends. Bilingual is a plus. Target Compensation Range The estimated total target compensation for this position in the first year typically ranges from $50,000 to $100,000 annually based on a strong commission‑based incentive structure. In subsequent years, sales professionals commonly earn $100,000 to $150,000 or more annually. Actual compensation will vary based on individual performance, geographic location, and applicable business conditions. (Note: As part of the total compensation plan, this position pays no less than $10.00 per hour for all hours worked).
