Outside Sales Representative - North Houston, TX

Nelson Wholesale Service, Inc. is currently looking to employ an outside sales Territory Manager servicing the Houston/East Texas area. Nelson Wholesale Service offers an extensive selection of pet food lines, lawn and garden products, animal health products and merchandise associated with large and small farm animals as well as pet and companion animal products. Responsibilities This individual would be responsible for calling on existing clientele at feed and farm supply stores, pet stores and hardware stores. Prospective employee will be expected to make productive sales calls on all existing businesses as well as working diligently to acquire new business through cold calls and vendor referrals. Prospective employee is expected to spend the proper amount of nights out as needed to effectively support continued growth throughout the sales territory. Prospective employee will be expected to participate in all educational meetings, trade shows and training events. We expect all employees to develop a strong working knowledge of all products and merchandise associated with distribution. A computer will be provided to the employee and it is essential that a strong working knowledge is developed pertaining to all facets of our business. Qualifications Bachelors Degree with sales experience is preferred. Strong working knowledge and competency in the Agriculture field. Individual must be coachable, self-motivated and possess a strong work ethic. Individual must work well with others, overcome objections and possess strong communication and organizational skills. General computer skills are necessary with stronger being preferred. Ability to drive and work remotely using personal reliable transportation.
