Primary Care PhysicianValor Healthcare is looking for a passionate Primary Care Physician to join our team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Stuart, FL. Many of our colleagues have patriots in their families or are patriots themselves, building a company culture and commitment to customer service that is second to none.As a Primary Care Physician, you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients with diseases and injuries seeking treatment in the clinic, as directed by physician or mid-level provider. You will collaborate with the core PACT Team (Primary Care Provider, RN and Medical Assistant) and expanded PACT Team including family/caregiver, VA, and community-based services involved in developing the patient care plan.Core responsibilities include actively diagnosing and treating veterans, examining patients for symptoms of organic or congenital disorders, developing and implementing patient management plans, ordering and performing diagnostic tests, prescribing medication, counseling patients on the use of prescription medications, evaluating patients' records from medical providers outside the VA, completing clinical reminders, documenting the medical record within 24 hours of a patient encounter, complying with VA guidelines, addressing the clinical needs of all walk-in/triage/urgent care patients, complying with VA and company training requirements, remaining focused on achieving excellent clinical outcomes, providing excellent customer service to each veteran, participating in the clinic's outreach events, supporting patient enrollment and retention, embracing and supporting new initiatives, and executing on key strategic initiatives.Requirements include 4+ years clinical medical practice, government healthcare environment preferred, Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Degree, board certified in family practice or internal medicine, credentialed and in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA), compliance with and maintenance of all requirements for a valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment, current certification in Basic Life Support and in ACLS as specified by individual VAMC contract, current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration, proficiency in written and spoken English, excellent computer skills, energetic and optimistic demeanor, strong service mentality, and this is considered a safety sensitive position.Final compensation will be based on relevant factors including work experience, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
