Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments of clients to discern the severity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms, allowing for comprehensive understanding and targeted interventions.

• Work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, aspirations, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—to administer effective interventions for mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, helping them understand treatment options and empowering them with self-care techniques.

• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans to address any changes in symptoms, ensuring ongoing effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated, holistic care that encompasses both mental and physical health aspects.

• Remain informed of the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to enhance clinical practices and client outcomes.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential records of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals dealing with a variety of mood disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related challenges. Many of our clients come from diverse backgrounds, requiring a culturally responsive approach to therapy that acknowledges varied life experiences and perspectives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• A strong background in evidence-based treatment methodologies for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Excellent grasp of psychopharmacology and capability to work in conjunction with psychiatrists to optimize client care.

• A proven track record demonstrating effective treatment of mood disorders, showcasing your ability to produce positive outcomes for clients.

• Exceptional communication skills that facilitate rapport-building with clients from various backgrounds, fostering a sense of safety and trust.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates who have at least three years of hands-on experience in clinical settings, particularly within outpatient psychiatry. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote service delivery will be beneficial.
