Automotive Body Shop Porter Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Outgoing and self-motivated personality

Primary Responsibilities

• Have a complete stock of cleaning supplies accessible daily.
• Keep the shop clean and presentable at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop floor, parking areas, and customer drop-off zone.
• Mopping, sweeping, emptying trash, and other tasks when requested.
• Putting fuel in vehicles and assisting with other duties as needed.
• Assist technicians, other co-workers, and various departments when necessary.
• Move vehicles into and out of the shop safely and efficiently.
• Run various errands.
• Keep entry-ways presentable and clear of debris and snow.
• Dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Inspect vehicles after repair for thoroughness checking for any issues that need addressing.
• Using diagnostic scanning tool to check for vehicle codes and consulting technician if found.
• Performing multi-point inspection.
• Cleaning vehicles after repairs have been made.
• Assist with vehicle pick-up and delivery as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to work Monday - Friday 1-10pm.
• Consistent and reliable attendance.
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks (bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, walking, and standing for prolonged periods. Driving vehicles, and willing to work in all types of weather).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds.
• Consent to a background check and drug screening.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 4 points and no history of reckless driving.
