Description

• Conduct thorough assessments for patients of all age groups utilizing established evaluation methods and observation.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that address immediate concerns and long-term needs in communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Facilitate individual speech therapy sessions targeting language use, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing difficulties.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a variety of professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care approaches.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families that empower progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout the recovery journey.
• Document patient progress and adhere strictly to institutional, state, and federal regulations.
• Commit to continual learning to stay abreast of developments in the field and foster collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred for those not yet ASHA certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start date.
