- Conduct thorough assessments for patients of all age groups utilizing established evaluation methods and observation.
- Craft tailored treatment plans that address immediate concerns and long-term needs in communication, cognition, or swallowing.
- Facilitate individual speech therapy sessions targeting language use, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing difficulties.
- Collaborate seamlessly with a variety of professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care approaches.
- Provide educational resources to patients and families that empower progress beyond clinical sessions.
- Engage in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout the recovery journey.
- Document patient progress and adhere strictly to institutional, state, and federal regulations.
- Commit to continual learning to stay abreast of developments in the field and foster collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred for those not yet ASHA certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start date.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for diverse age groups, with comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic techniques for speech and language disorders.
- Outstanding communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt therapy methodologies to accommodate various cultural and linguistic contexts.
- Strong clinical judgment paired with adept problem-solving skills.
- Well-versed in electronic medical records and documentation standards.
