B2B Ad Sales Rep – Northern California | 30–40% Commission

Regal Publications — an established hospitality media company serving hotels, travelers, and local businesses since 1984.

Regal provides customized digital guest directories for hotels and resorts, connecting travelers with local restaurants, attractions, recreation, shopping, entertainment, and services while they are staying in the destination.

We’re looking for an experienced, self-directed B2B sales professional to develop advertiser relationships throughout San Francisco, the Bay Area, and surrounding Northern California hospitality markets .

Depending on hotel partner assignments, representatives may work in markets located within approximately 250 miles of the San Francisco Bay Area .

This opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys field sales, is comfortable traveling to assigned regional markets, and likes meeting business owners face-to-face, developing new accounts, and building long-term business relationships.

What You’ll Be Selling

You’ll sell digital advertising opportunities to local businesses that want exposure to hotel guests and travelers through Regal’s hospitality media network.

Potential advertisers include:

• Restaurants and bars
• Attractions and entertainment venues
• Wineries, tours, and visitor experiences
• Golf, recreation, and tourism businesses
• Retailers and specialty shops
• Transportation providers
• Salons, spas, and wellness businesses
• Real estate and relocation services
• Professional and local service businesses
• Businesses serving convention, event, business, and leisure travelers

The value proposition is straightforward: help local businesses reach visitors who are already in the area and actively deciding where to eat, shop, visit, and spend.

What You’ll Do

• Prospect local businesses face-to-face, by phone, and by email
• Identify owners, managers, and marketing decision-makers
• Present Regal’s advertising opportunities
• Develop new advertiser relationships
• Manage your own prospect pipeline and daily sales activity
• Follow up consistently and close new business
• Build relationships that can lead to renewal opportunities
• Travel to assigned hotel partner markets as needed
• Participate in regular sales meetings and territory updates

Who We’re Looking For

We especially want to hear from candidates with experience in:

• Outside B2B sales
• Advertising, media, or digital marketing sales
• Hospitality or tourism sales
• Visitor guides or local publications
• Radio or sponsorship sales
• Merchant services / payment processing
• Telecom, payroll, or other small-business services
• Territory sales
• Direct or high-ticket sales

The specific industry matters less than your ability to prospect, build rapport with business owners, follow up consistently, and close .

You should also be comfortable working independently, organizing your own sales activity, and traveling to regional markets when assigned.

Compensation

Employment: 1099 Independent Contractor
Compensation: Commission only
New Sales Commission: 30% on qualifying sales, with the opportunity to earn up to 40% based on performance and assigned sales goals
Renewals: 15% on qualifying renewal business, where applicable
Additional bonus opportunities may apply

There is no cap on the amount of qualifying advertising business you can develop .

Commissions are paid biweekly as sales are processed and collected.

Travel & Support

Most approved field projects involve working in a market for approximately 1–2 weeks at a time .

Assignments may include San Francisco and Bay Area hotel partners as well as other Northern California markets located within approximately 250 miles of the region .

When overnight travel is required for an approved assignment, complimentary hotel accommodations are provided through Regal’s hospitality network.

Representatives are responsible for normal day-to-day expenses such as gas and meals. Hotels may require a valid credit card at check-in for personal incidentals.

A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.

Regal provides training, professional sales materials, ongoing support, team meetings, and advertiser/prospect information when available.
