Medical Laboratory Scientist – Clinical Laboratory Providence Mission-Laguna Beach Hospital in Laguna Beach, CA. This position is part-time and will work 8-hour variable shifts. Description Under the general supervision of the Chief Clinical Laboratory Scientist, the scientist obtains and processes patient specimens and performs various clinical laboratory tests for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The scientist analyzes, interprets, and reports test results and ensures accuracy. The scientist verifies tests as necessary; directly notifies appropriate personnel of critical results and provides proper documentation. Diagnostic laboratory services are provided for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Required Qualifications Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirement. Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License. Preferred Qualifications 2 years Clinical Laboratory experience.
