THE JOB // As a member of the team you provide our customers an exceptional, consistent experience by implementing Barracuda's standards of service, product quality, and cleanliness. We all work to create an environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. As a Shift Lead, you lead by example and support every team member in upholding our standard of service and providing an exceptional guest experience, every time.

Key Components:
Training: The position is designed to offer training and development opportunities. We're committed to preparing you for leadership by honing your skills in day-to-day management of customer experience, team management, and collaboration & execution of high-level strategic initiatives.

Learning All Stations: While you'll be trained on what the Shift Lead position looks like in your first 2-4 weeks, you'll be exposed to all aspects of our operations, from the kitchen to front-facing roles, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of our business. This learning process typically takes approximately 90-180 days, and depends entirely on the candidate's performance.

Open Availability and Timeliness: Dedication and flexibility are crucial in this role. Your commitment to open availability will contribute to the success of our team and your personal development.

Assessment and Progression: Your performance will be consistently assessed as you learn our operations. This ongoing evaluation ensures that you are well-prepared and ready for advancement to the next level before formally placing you on our leadership team. In the event that your performance does not meet the standard for leadership progression, please know that we still consider you a valuable candidate. Requirements //

• Open Availability: Weekends and evenings required
• Kitchen experience preferred (ex: prep, production, line)
• Natural problem-solver: whether it's a faulty fryer or a misunderstanding between teammates, you jump in and find a solution that works (and probably have a back-up solution or two, just in case...)
• Excellent communication and relationship-building
• Personable and enjoys working with a diverse team and customers
• Detail-oriented and proactive with an ability to prioritize and deliver results on delegated responsibilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Able to maintain composure and personality in a high-pressure environment, while using good judgment and strong decision-making skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (not required, but always a plus!)
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (6 or more hours per shift)
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Personal interest and enthusiasm for food and hospitality a plus
