Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Rio Rancho, NM

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential occupational therapy services to elementary and middle school students in a supportive educational setting. This position is ideal for a dedicated OT or COTA ready to make a genuine impact, just a short drive from Albuquerque, NM. You’ll manage a manageable caseload of approximately 40–50 students, working roughly 37.5 hours per week throughout the school year. The focus is on early intervention and student growth, collaborating closely with educators, families, and fellow therapists to deliver effective, personalized support. Qualifications and Requirements: Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Eligible for, or willing to obtain, New Mexico RLD and NMPED licenses Experience providing occupational therapy in a school setting, especially at elementary and/or middle school levels, is highly desirable Strong communication and collaboration skills with school staff, students, and parents Commitment to supporting students’ diverse learning needs and helping them achieve their fullest potential Daily Responsibilities: Conduct and interpret assessments to determine students’ therapy needs Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in coordination with IEP teams Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and district standards Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities as required #J-18808-Ljbffr Soliant Health
