Details Work in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/Stepdown) of a community hospital setting Cares for cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and renal patients requiring stepdown-level monitoring Patient ratio of 1:3-4 Variable schedule primarily days, with occasional evening/night shifts (1500-0300 or 0300-1500) Uses Epic EMR (preferred experience) Requirements Active WI or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted at submission, must be obtained during compliance) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required in hand NIHSS certification required (may be pending at submission but must be completed during compliance) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Community hospital experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Teaching hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred Charge nurse experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC line care, arterial line management, and blood product administration Experienced in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and telemetry monitoring Skilled in chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and non-invasive airway management Experienced in wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols Skilled in insulin drip management and IV insulin protocols Experienced with pacemakers, post cardiac cath/angiogram, and sheath removal SSN and DOB required at time of consideration RTO must be submitted at time of consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care within a stepdown/IMC unit supporting cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and renal patients Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed for patient emergencies Passport-style badge photo required within 24 hours of offer acceptance Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance, with one from the most recent assignment or permanent position Orientation includes required modules averaging 3-4 hours in length Facility cannot accommodate travelers with latex allergies Travel pairs are accepted Local candidates accepted at a lower rate First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Previous travelers may return only after a minimum 1-year separation from the facility American Traveler Job ID P-737459.
