VP, Java Full-Stack Engineer

Salary: $30,000 - 55,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 5–9 years of professional experience.
• Strong background driving architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-scale Java and Spring Boot applications.
• Hands-on experience with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Batch, and related frameworks.
• Experience leading RESTful API and microservices development using Hibernate, JPA, OAuth2, and JWT security controls.
• Knowledge of cloud-native distributed systems, including Spring Cloud components such as Eureka, Config Server, and API Gateway.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization tools including Maven, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with SQL Server and Oracle for transactional data platforms.
• Strong quality engineering mindset with TDD, automated testing, BDD, and tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
• Experience in production support, performance tuning, incident management, root cause analysis, monitoring, and observability using tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Ability to provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, including Claude, Windsurf, and similar productivity platforms.

• Design, develop, test, and deliver scalable full-stack solutions that support our ETF technology platforms and core business workflows.
• Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, QA, infrastructure, and production support teams to achieve dependable technology outcomes.
• Contribute to modernization efforts across Java, microservices, APIs, front-end applications, data integration, and DevOps delivery practices.
• Promote engineering quality through clean code, automated testing, code reviews, secure development methods, and disciplined release execution.
• Support production stability by resolving complex issues, performing root cause analysis, improving observability, and lowering operational risk.
• Help strengthen platform resiliency, scalability, maintainability, and performance through thoughtful design and ongoing improvement.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices responsibly to improve productivity, accelerate delivery, and enhance software quality.
• Communicate clearly with technology and business partners, provide timely updates, surface risks early, and support successful project delivery.
• Lead and govern the architecture, design, and delivery of secure, scalable Java and Spring Boot applications in regulated financial-services environments.
• Drive the development of RESTful APIs and microservices to support high-volume, business-critical applications and financial data workflows.
• Architect cloud-native, distributed systems with a focus on modular design, service discovery, fault tolerance, inter-service communication, and platform modernization.
• Advance engineering excellence through DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, automated deployment pipelines, and strong governance practices.
• Design and optimize transactional data platforms to ensure performance, scalability, data integrity, enterprise controls, and operational stability.
• Establish quality engineering standards through test-driven development, automated validation, and behavior-driven development approaches.
• Lead production support and operational excellence efforts, including performance tuning, incident management, monitoring, observability, and proactive risk reduction.
• Partner across business, product, QA, infrastructure, and support teams while influencing engineering standards, code quality, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement.
