Role Summary The Buyer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Tulsa, OK. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing lumber and building materials, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring products are available to meet project timelines. The Buyer will evaluate vendor performance, negotiate pricing and terms, and place purchase orders in line with company policies and budget guidelines. Daily activities include monitoring stock levels, reviewing sales forecasts, coordinating delivery schedules, and resolving order or shipment issues with suppliers and internal teams. The role works closely with sales, operations, and yard personnel to support accurate, on-time customer deliveries and contribute to strong vendor and customer relationships. Qualifications Experience with purchasing, inventory management, and vendor coordination in lumber, building materials, or a similar industry. Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and decision-making skills to secure favorable pricing and terms. Proficiency with order entry, purchasing systems, and basic office software (e.g., Excel, email, inventory tools). Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with suppliers, sales teams, and operations staff. Knowledge of construction materials, product specifications, and jobsite requirements is highly beneficial. Prior experience in wholesale, retail building supply, or contractor-focused purchasing preferred.
