Role Description The General Manager role at Ulta Beauty is a full-time, on-site position located in Bowling Green, KY, responsible for leading store operations and delivering an exceptional guest experience. The General Manager oversees daily store activities, including sales performance, staffing, scheduling, visual merchandising, inventory control, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role leads, coaches, and develops a diverse team, setting clear performance expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and supporting career growth. The General Manager partners with salon and retail leaders to drive business results, maintain operational excellence, and ensure that safety, service, and brand standards are met consistently. The role also includes analyzing key performance indicators, managing budgets, and implementing company initiatives to achieve sales and profitability goals while fostering an inclusive, engaging workplace. Qualifications Leadership and people management skills, including team development, performance coaching, and conflict resolution. Retail and customer service skills, such as store operations oversight, guest engagement, and service recovery. Business and financial acumen, including sales analysis, budgeting, and inventory management. Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to present information to diverse audiences. Proficiency with basic computer applications and point-of-sale or retail management systems. Prior experience in retail or service-industry management; beauty or salon experience is a plus. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
