Core Responsibilities
Service Technicians will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and minimal downtime. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, diagnose equipment failures, and implement timely solutions to keep production lines running smoothly. Responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, performing repairs, replacing worn components, and documenting all maintenance activities in company systems. You will collaborate with production teams to understand equipment needs, communicate technical findings clearly, and prioritize work based on operational urgency. Additionally, you will maintain a clean, safe work environment, follow all safety protocols and procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Must-Have Requirements
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of hands-on service or maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar technical environment. A high school diploma or GED is required. You must possess strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals. Proficiency with hand and power tools is essential. You should demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while meeting strict timelines. Physical fitness is important, as the role requires lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, climbing ladders, and working in various environmental conditions. You must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check and pre-employment physical. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment are critical. Experience with preventative maintenance programs and familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar platforms is highly valued.
