Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient. Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patient’s condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner. Delegates tasks based on the needs of the patient, potential for harm, patient stability, task complexity, and outcome predictability within the scope of skill set and practice. Uses knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs. Applies negotiation and conflict management strategies. Identifies opportunities for process improvement on nursing unit and actively participates in the implementation.
