Respiratory Therapist Position

Jackson HealthPros is hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a permanent position with a hospital in Newport, OR. The clinician will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders across patient populations and acuity levels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC-RRT) required.
• Current Oregon Respiratory Care License required.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire.
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
• PALS required within 90 days of hire for the NLH Respiratory Therapy environment.
• NRP required within six (6) months of hire for the NLH Respiratory Therapy environment.
• Two (2) years clinical experience in Respiratory Care preferred.
• Ability to perform assessment, diagnostics, therapeutic modalities, and patient education under physician orders and approved protocols.

Job Summary / Purpose :

Provides effective respiratory care through approved client assessment, diagnostics, therapeutics, and education. Provision of services is initiated by physician order and approved protocols. The Respiratory Therapy team delivers treatment and diagnostic patient care services to critical and non-critical patients across age groups using evidence-based cardiopulmonary techniques.

• Patient care skills appropriate to assist and care for diverse patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Effective written and oral communication to explain complex issues and exchange information with care teams.
• Time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Conflict resolution skills and ability to handle complaints and negotiate solutions constructively.
• Social perceptiveness and sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, records, procedures, and applicable policies and regulations.

Shift Details :

• Flex shifts. Schedule varies. Full time, 0.9 FTE.
