This role acts as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, driving talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, and day-to-day HR execution in a fast-paced fintech environment.What You'll DoPartner with client-group leaders on workforce planning, org design, and talent strategyCoach managers on performance management, employee relations, and difficult conversationsUse employee data and HR metrics to identify trends and recommend proactive interventionsLead or support talent reviews, compensation planning cycles, and promotion processesManage employee relations investigations and disciplinary actions with sound judgment and documentationDrive engagement initiatives and support change management for organizational shiftsEnsure compliance with federal, Texas state, and local employment lawCollaborate with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and L&D to deliver an integrated employee experienceSupport M&A integration activities as needed (if applicable to Apex's growth strategy)What We're Looking For5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in an HRBP or generalist role supporting client groupsExperience in financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry preferredStrong data fluency — comfortable pulling insights from HRIS/people analytics tools to inform decisionsDemonstrated ability to influence at multiple levels, including senior leadersSolid grounding in employment law (Texas and federal)Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; PHR/SHRM-CP a plusHigh discretion and judgment — this role handles sensitive, confidential employee matters daily​Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
