Property Description The Chatham Bars Inn, a Forbes Five‑Star resort on beachfront in Chatham, Massachusetts, spans 25 oceanfront acres. With 217 rooms and suites, the inn offers historic charm, modern luxury, and panoramic ocean views. Guests experience private cabana rentals, an oceanfront pool, complimentary bike rentals, private bonfires, tennis courts, a full‑service spa, supervised Kids Crew sessions, and farm‑to‑table dining from the on‑site 8‑acre farm. Job Overview The Housekeeping Coordinator provides administrative support for the Housekeeping department, creating and designating work assignments, performing computer input, filing, tracing, answering telephones, printing reports, and maintaining departmental records and logs. All work aligns with standards and procedures of Forbes, AAA, Preferred Hotels, and Chatham Bars Inn. Responsibilities Create work assignments for Engineering, Room, House, and Lobby Attendants through the KnowCross System. Dispatch guest requested items. Maintain complete knowledge of departmental policies and service procedures, including inspection of guest rooms. Administer equipment maintenance programs (vehicle, vacuum, cell phone, crib, and rollaway beds). Answer guest calls, anticipate needs, respond promptly, and ensure follow‑up. Maintain positive guest relations and be familiar with all hotel services, local attractions, and activities. Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of guest room layouts, bed types, decor, appointments, amenities, and locations. Update current room status reports and communicate wait‑listed items with Front Office and Housekeeping Supervisors. Monitor and track status of out‑of‑order rooms and update accordingly. Administer Lost & Found, Keys, and Phones. Qualifications Prioritize, organize, and follow up on tasks. Capable of working independently or as part of a team. Follow direction thoroughly. Understand guest’s service needs. Computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and Internet Explorer. Meet deadlines. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible and motivated. Compensation $22.00 per hour.
