Role Description The Assistant Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pittsburgh, PA. This position supports project managers in planning, coordinating, and overseeing commercial and industrial electrical projects from pre-construction through closeout. Day-to-day tasks include tracking project schedules, assisting with material procurement and expediting, coordinating with field supervisors and vendors, and maintaining organized project documentation. The role also involves monitoring progress, supporting inspections and quality checks, helping manage logistics, and communicating updates to stakeholders to keep projects on time and within budget. The Assistant Project Manager collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills related to expediting and expeditor functions, including tracking materials, coordinating deliveries, and resolving supply delays.
• Candidates should possess project management skills, such as scheduling, task coordination, documentation, and support of cost and resource tracking.
• Candidates should possess inspection-related skills, including assisting with site inspections, verifying work against plans and codes, and supporting quality assurance activities.
• Candidates should possess logistics management skills, including organizing shipments, optimizing material flow to job sites, and collaborating with vendors and warehousing.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with field crews, project managers, and external partners.
• Basic understanding of commercial and industrial electrical construction or willingness to learn; prior construction or trades experience is beneficial.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
