A confidential plaintiff-side personal injury litigation opportunity is available with an established New York litigation practice. This role is designed for a trial-ready associate attorney who can run matters end-to-end in New York state and federal court, with meaningful responsibility from filing through verdict. THE ROLE Manage an active personal injury caseload in New York state and federal courts from filing through verdict. Meet with clients, evaluate claims, and draft and file pleadings. Propound and respond to written discovery. Take and defend fact witness depositions; retain appropriate experts and attend expert depositions. Handle motion practice, hearings, and court appearances. Prepare for and attend mediations and conduct settlement negotiations. Prepare cases for trial, try cases to verdict, and draft and file post-trial motions as needed. Participate in internal file audits, litigation meetings, and trial-focused trainings. LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION Location: New York City area. Schedule: Hybrid, with in-office expectations three days per week. Compensation: $250,000 (total compensation is commensurate with experience). REQUIREMENTS Active New York bar license in good standing. At least 3 years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience. Minimum of 2 jury trials as first chair, with a demonstrated record of results. Ability to manage a large, active caseload from filing through verdict. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, negotiation skills, and legal research and analysis. Strong courtroom presence and a genuine interest in trying cases. PREFERRED BACKGROUND Experience directing and guiding a team of support staff. Additional personal injury trial experience (first or second chair). Experience across a range of personal injury case types, such as auto injuries, premises liability, catastrophic injury, or medical malpractice.
