Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across levels; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory discretion.
- Collect relevant data, assess health status, analyze findings, and identify care issues; develop and implement a plan of care.
- Coordinate care delivery, promote patient safety, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients, families, and treatment team; provide learning opportunities and health information; delegate appropriately and supervise tasks within the care team.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including entry in the hospital’s electronic health record system (EPIC) and adherence to infection control and safety standards.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum of two years of recent nursing experience in acute care or ICU settings
- BSN preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Ability to perform effectively in a nighttime ICU environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
