Our organization is on the lookout for board-certified or board-eligible neurohospitalists to become part of an expanding and vibrant team of neurologists and seven neurohospitalists in Kansas City, MO.

Position Overview

• The role involves 100% inpatient responsibilities, with the neurohospitalist rotating at a comprehensive stroke center, supported by residents and advanced practice providers. Additionally, the neurohospitalist will oversee busy primary stroke centers.
• Our facility offers the most advanced stroke care in the region, treating over 4,000 patients annually with stroke-reversal therapies.
• We are at the forefront of utilizing both pharmacological and mechanical methods to reverse the severe and lasting impacts of ischemic stroke, having performed one of the first intra-arterial stroke reversal procedures globally in 1993.
• As the primary teaching hospital for the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Medical School, there is an opportunity for an academic appointment through UMKC, depending on experience level.
• The neurology residency program includes three residents who will gain educational experiences in the comprehensive treatment center of the Neuroscience Institute, learning to diagnose and manage complex neurological disorders in various care environments.
