Our organization is on the lookout for a committed BC/BE epileptologist to enhance our expanding team at the Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute in Kansas City, MO. This outpatient role presents a distinctive chance to concentrate on epilepsy care, supported by cutting-edge facilities and a collaborative atmosphere.

Position Overview:

• The primary responsibility of the physician will be to focus on epilepsy, with the chance to manage and treat a diverse patient population.
• On-call duties are distributed among neurologists, ensuring a balanced lifestyle along with the assistance of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
• Full access to our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) for thorough patient monitoring and EEG analysis, alongside a fully integrated Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Join us during an exciting phase as we develop our epilepsy surgery program; work closely with our skilled functional neurosurgeons to provide advanced surgical options for patients.
• Our facility serves as the primary teaching hospital for the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Medical School, offering opportunities for academic appointments based on experience.
• The neurology residency program accommodates 12 residents, providing educational experiences across all treatment centers within the Neuroscience Institute.
• Numerous research opportunities are available, with a proven track record of success; motivated candidates may also qualify for start-up funding.
