Customer Account Specialist

A growing Columbus, OH organization is seeking a Customer Account Specialist to join its team. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to combine customer service and account management skills while helping customers resolve account concerns and outstanding balances. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships, and working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for both customers and the business.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers by phone and email to resolve outstanding account balances while maintaining positive client relationships
  
• Research payment discrepancies, billing issues, and account concerns to identify and implement solutions
  
• Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up on commitments to ensure timely resolution of open balances
  
• Collaborate with internal departments to investigate account issues and provide exceptional customer support
  
• Maintain accurate account documentation and customer communications within company systems
  

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of previous experience in customer service, collections, accounts receivable, or account support
  
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive financial conversations professionally
  
• Ability to research and resolve billing discrepancies in a fast-paced environment
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and experience using ERP or accounting systems preferred
  
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts and priorities
  

Pay Details: $64,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
