Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00am–7:30pm | Night: 7:00pm–7:30am

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving a defined patient population
• May be required to float to other units within the same patient population based on operational needs
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
• Administer and manage medications safely, with competency verified through assessment during orientation
• Rotate holiday coverage, with an expected commitment of at least every other holiday
• Complete annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules as required throughout the contract

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission
• ACLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission
• NIHSS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty
• One professional reference required from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months — co-worker references will not be accepted
• No open background case or license hits — background findings are reviewed on a case-by-case basis; no open cases will be accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience gained within a single facility or location (combined experience across locations is also considered)
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and ECG rhythm interpretation
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care or high-volume hospital setting
