The Senior Maintenance Aide reporting location is Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA), 7800 Cienega Rd, Hollister CA 95376. The Senior Maintenance Aide (SMA) will work under the direction of the Park Maintenance Supervisor and will receive daily direction from the lead Park Maintenance Worker I or Park Maintenance Worker II.

The Senior Maintenance Aide is expected to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as scheduled, and assigned days off may vary from month to month. The SMA will perform duties dressed in full State Park uniform.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Performs as a lead for Maintenance Aides in housekeeping functions including applying various cleaning agents, pick up and removal of garbage/debris throughout the unit, and stocking and restocking all housekeeping supplies needed to maintain an acceptable level in receiving the visiting public. Administrative duties such as maintaining accountability worksheets, employee attendance records, training new Maintenance Aide staff, providing direction and assistance to Maintenance Aide staff, and data entry in Maximo, the facility data tracking system. Typical work hours will be Sunday through Saturday, 10-hours shifts ranging from 7am to 10pm. This position may work up to 1500 hours within 12 consecutive months. This position is designated as not telework eligible.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

Possession of a valid driver's license of the appropriate class and a safe driving record as documented by the Department of Motor Vehicles within 60 days prior to appointment. (A safe driving record is one free from convictions in the past two years for repeated moving violations or a single serious violation, such as drunk driving or reckless driving.)
