This role supports the Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) portfolio within the Boeing Global Services (BGS) organization. This team develops and fields aircraft health management systems across multiple platforms—including F/A‑18, E/A‑18, F‑15, T7, MQ‑25, and proprietary programs—by acquiring and managing aircraft health and usage data, performing assessments, updating configurations, and recommending maintenance actions. The role requires interaction with internal and external stakeholders to ensure software products are developed in alignment with supporting customer, business and program needs. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical system engineering skills and project‑management skills. Good oral and written communication is essential to succeed in this position. The position may also require occasional domestic and international travel to implement solutions at customer sites. Position Responsibilities Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify a lifecycle‑balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces. Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Conduct analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other quality factors to recommend a preferred configuration that ensures mission success. Develop and maintain improved processes for planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment. Resolve cross‑functional technical issues. Conditions of employment: The position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. 9+ years of experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design, and trade design). 7+ years of experience working systems engineering across multiple phases of the product lifecycle. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Secret Security clearance is a plus. 9+ years of experience building stakeholder and customer relationships. 9+ years of experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). EVM trained or CAM Certified. Agile development experience. Experience with military aircraft and proprietary programs. Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by influence. Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations. Summary Pay Range for Expert (Level 4): $136,850 – $185,150.
