CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER (COMMUNITY SAFETY & TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT - CODE ENFORCEMENT DIVISION) SALARY RANGE $71,920.51 - $89,818.86 Annually $5,993.38 - $7,484.90 Monthly $34.58 - $43.18 Hourly BENEFITS - 4-Day Work Week - 11 Paid Holidays + 1 Floating Holiday $2,721.01 Monthly Benefit Allowance towards Medical, Dental, and Vision Employer Contribution to a Health Reimbursement Account upon completion of fifth year Pension through CalPERS 457 Deferred Compensation Plan through Voya Financial 200% Employer Contribution Match to a 457 Plan up to $3,000 per year Professional Development with Breaking the Chain Consulting $2,500 Educational Reimbursement per Fiscal Year MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience as a Code Enforcement Officer or two years of experience performing inspections, investigations, abatements, land use, zoning, building, public safety, related code enforcement or administration of justice work. The completion of up to one year of college (30 semester units) in a related field from an accredited college or university may substitute for up to one year of experience. THE POSITION The Code Enforcement division is focused on enhancing public safety, quality of life, and positive relationships within the community. The Code Enforcement Officer will serve as an ambassador and champion for the city and will be integral to reaching this goal through education and awareness, while taking enforcement action only when compliance is not achieved.
