PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; and to maintain P.O.S.T. physical standards, including mobility, physical strength, and stamina; to operate a motor vehicle in all conditions; to maintain firearms qualification and to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone or radio. Finger and manual dexterity are needed to operate police services equipment and firearms, and to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard. Positions in this classification frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to apprehend, lift, carry, push, and pull victims, suspects and equipment as determined within P.O.S.T physical standards, which may include the use of proper equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Employees may interact with upset staff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures. Employees also work in outdoor conditions, and are exposed to loud noise levels, cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, moving vehicles, and hazardous physical substances and fumes.

selected. If there is a benefit contribution balance remaining after deduction for elected benefits for any
employee, all remaining benefit contribution amounts shall be forfeited.
The City will not provide cash in lieu of benefits to those employees who have outside health insurance coverage.
PAYCHECKS:
Paychecks are issued every other Thursday. The paycheck on Thursday covers the prior two week period worked from Sunday morning (12:01 a.m.) through midnight Saturday (12:00 a.m.)
