Human Resources Generalist

A leading Real Estate investment firm is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to joint their organization. The Human Resources Generalist will report directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager and support HR operations for three entities with a multi-state workforce of approximately 150 employees across California, Colorado, Texas, and New York. This role is responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, payroll support, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers throughout the recruiting and onboarding process.

• Update and maintain job descriptions and post open positions across recruiting platforms, including LinkedIn and Indeed.

• Coordinate scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.

• Assist with candidate pipelines and ensure that hiring managers remain on track throughout the recruiting process.

• Send employment applications and related documents to candidates.

• Draft and prepare offer letters and related hiring documents.

• Manage background check process with third-party background

• Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, and ancillary benefits through the company’s benefits administration platform, Ease.

• Coordinate employee benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and benefit changes in partnership with the company’s benefits broker.

• Conduct monthly audits to ensure employee benefit changes, including new hires, terminations, qualifying life events, and COBRA notifications, have been accurately processed by carriers.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR-related regulations across multiple states.

• Regularly attend HR webinars, seminars, and training sessions to remain current on federal, state, and local employment legislation, compliance updates, and HR best practices.

• Prepare and submit required regulatory reporting, including EEO-1 and California Pay Data reporting.

Process payroll in ADP Workforce Now for approximately 40 employees on a bi-weekly basis. Review payroll reports and reconciliation spreadsheet for accuracy prior to submission to the CFO for final approval.

• Coordinate with the company’s third-party payroll specialist on employee pay changes and payroll updates for payroll processing in Paycom. Review and approve payroll reports, reconciliation spreadsheet, and other supporting documentation prior to submission to the CFO for final approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• HR certification (PHRca, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.

• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience.
