Job Overview

Pay Range: $17.42hr - $21.42hr Duties:

• Responsible for independently coordinating blood and tissue banking protocols to ensure proper collection and handling of samples, such as bone marrow, blood, tissue, skin, cheek swabs, and pheresis products.
• Establishes effective policies and procedures for obtaining, processing and handling all clinical trial-driven correlative blood and tissue samples.
• Collaborates with internal and external laboratories processing clinical trial samples to ensure compliance with each individual trial.
• Independently arranges courier service, as needed for transport of clinical trial blood and tissue samples.
• Schedules urgent/emergent clinical trial-related laboratory tests, visits, procedures and treatment.
• Resolves any schedule conflicts and ensures timely patient tracking.
• On a regular and continuous basis, exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences and results that impact staff and patients, as well as the quality of service within the department.
• Coordinates research phlebotomy services to ensure proper collection, processing and documentation of sample draws.
