Job Summary
We are seeking a Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist to join the team at our fast-paced Podiatric clinic. The ideal candidate has a cheerful disposition, excellent communication, and computer skills, and is capable of multitasking.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Patient Reception: Welcoming patients, verifying identity, distributing intake forms, and ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times.
- Scheduling & Intake: Managing provider calendars, confirming appointments, updating demographics, and preparing charts for upcoming visits.
- Billing & Insurance: Verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining prior authorizations, and collecting co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
- Communication: Answering high-volume calls, triaging messages to clinical staff, and managing records/referrals.
- Surgical Coordination
Other duties
- Office Triage: Calming anxious patients and helping with medical emergencies in the waiting area.
- Clinical Support: Assisting medical assistants or nurses with rooming patients, taking vitals, or prepping exam rooms.
- Facility Management: Ordering medical/office supplies, maintaining office equipment, and keeping the lobby clean.
- Assist Medical Assistants when needed.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience as a front desk receptionist or similar role is preferred
- Must be bilingual - English and Spanish
- Excellent communication skills with a commitment to customer service
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Familiar with computers and scheduling software
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
