Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Technician in a job shop environment, where you'll handle a variety of equipment including dump trucks, trash compactors, balers, and snow plows. This role offers the opportunity to work on preventative maintenance, hydraulic components, and minor engineering tasks.
Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on motorized equipment.
• Work on hydraulic components including rebuilding cylinders and pumps.
• Engage in minor engineering tasks, excluding total rebuilds.
• Conduct transmission work and electrical troubleshooting related to trucks.
• Perform minor fabrication work.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience as a diesel technician.
• Proficiency in diesel troubleshooting, repair, and engine work.
• Experience with pumps, motors, and electrical systems.
• Ability to rebuild pumps and follow technical prints.
• Ownership of personal tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Welding and fabrication experience.

Work Environment
The role is based in a Diesel Shop working 1st shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. There is some flexibility in hours, with the possibility to work up to 10 hours per day as needed.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rolling Prairie, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
