Technical Business Development Manager

Job Title: Technical Business Development Manager Overview An industrial manufacturer is hiring a Technical Business Development Manager to expand revenue within an engineered product portfolio. This role is focused on developing new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and increasing recurring revenue through service, replacement/consumable demand, and long-term account growth. Responsibilities Develop and execute business development strategy across assigned markets and customer segments. Build relationships with technical decision-makers across customer organizations and channel partners. Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities from initial engagement through solution alignment and commercial close. Support technical discovery to understand customer requirements and recommend fit-for-purpose solutions. Coordinate internally with engineering, product management, operations, and sales leadership to align on solution delivery and commercial strategy. Grow recurring revenue by expanding utilization within the installed customer base and supporting repeat/ongoing programs. Track pipeline activity, customer interactions, and forecasts in CRM and reporting tools. Monitor market/competitive trends and provide recommendations to support growth initiatives. Requirements 2-year technical degree required; bachelor’s preferred (engineering, business, or related). 10+ years of experience in technical business development, industrial sales, or related commercial/technical roles. Demonstrated success selling engineered products/solutions in an industrial environment. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
