Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for commercial, institutional, municipal, industrial, and public-sector projects.
• Prepare construction documents, calculations, specifications, and engineering reports.
• Design structural systems utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and other building materials.
• Conduct site investigations and existing condition assessments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and architectural teams.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals.
• Assist during construction administration and respond to field-related design questions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, design standards, and industry best practices.
• Support project scheduling, budgeting, and client communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis or Structural Engineering.
• 3+ years of structural design experience.
• EIT required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software.
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and applicable design codes.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and project coordination abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Commercial and institutional building design.
• Municipal and public infrastructure projects.
• Structural rehabilitation and renovation projects.
• Transportation-related structures.
• Construction administration and field inspections.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, RISA, RAM, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar design software.
