Clinical Trainer

Job Summary The Clinical Trainer will participate in the development and delivery of clinical and non-clinical training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge. This role will support the overall performance of operations through ongoing training and development designed to drive the efficacy and high-quality performance of each department. Essential Job Functions Participates in the development of training programs and materials tailored to meet the needs of clinical and non-clinical staff Identifies training audience and coordinates training via outlook invites Demonstrates exceptional classroom facilitation skills and incorporates adult learning principals into training delivery Uses facilitator's guide, notes, and other training material as a guide rather than a script Creates a safe and respectful learning environment where participants feel comfortable participating and sharing their thoughts and concerns Tailors the delivery of material to meet differing needs, interests, and experience levels among participants; can adjust training accordingly Guides discussions to stay on topic and ensure that learning objectives are being addressed Actively involves all participants, using a variety of closed, open, high gain and second level questions, to engage participants Actively seeks evidence of audience engagement and comprehension and provides coaching in the moment, as necessary Identifies and addresses any issues among participants that could hinder the learning process Utilizes conflict resolution skills when necessary to maintain a positive learning environment Maintains control over the learning environment by managing challenging participants, minimizing distractions, utilizing the handling objections model, and monitoring the pace of the class. Supports the evaluation of training delivery and outcomes by administering post training surveys Gathers feedback to evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements Maintains detailed records of training activities, participant progress, and completion rates Provides reports to management on the impact of training programs. Stays updated on the latest trends and best practices in learning and development to enhance future training programs Continually looks for areas of improvement to support learning outcomes and provides recommendations to improve learning outcomes and/or mitigate potential risks Participates in special projects as assigned Experience Qualifications & Minimum Requirements: Current RN / Social Work License. At least 1-2 years of experience in training, staff development, or education within a healthcare or managed care environment Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in care management, utilization management, case management, or related field Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication skills Ability to develop clear, engaging, and effective training materials Collaborative, flexible, and skilled at managing multiple priorities in a demanding environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and motivate adult learners.
