Surgical Tech IResponsible for assisting the surgeons and professional nurse in all aspects of operating room nursing.What You'll Bring to the Team:Demonstrated competencies in sterile techniqueKnowledge of instrument sets, cleaning and caring for instruments and equipment and passing of instruments in surgical proceduresStrong verbal and written communication skillsOrganizational skillsProficient reading, writing, grammar and math skillsKnowledge of medical terminologyLicensure and Certification: Current BLS provider cardEducation: Completion of accredited program for surgical technicians.Experience: New grad with training in the surgery tech role.Surgical Tech IIThe Surgical Technician II is responsible for assisting the surgeon and professional nurses in all aspects of operating room nursing and providing orientation and in-service on all specialized equipment.What You'll Bring to the Team:Competent skills in multispecialty surgeries, instrumentation and operating room aseptic techniqueKnowledge regarding performance and maintenance of all advanced surgical equipmentProficiency in performance of 100% of job specific competencies for ORTsStrong verbal and written communication skillsOrganizational skillsProficient reading, writing, grammar and math skillsKnowledge of medical terminologyLicensure and Certification: Current BLS provider cardEducation: Completion of accredited program for surgical technicians.Minimum 15 hours CEUs annually.Experience: Min, 2 years current OR experience.Responsible for advanced instrumentation and equipment supply and orientation of new ORTs.Surgical Tech IIIThe Surgical Technician III has advanced certification and is responsible for assisting the surgeon and professional nurse in all aspects of operating room nursing and assists with orientation, in-service of all specialized equipment.What You'll Bring to the Team:Extensive skills in multispecialty surgeries, instrumentation and operating room aseptic techniqueProficiency in performance of 100% of job specific competencies for ORTsStrong verbal and written communication skillsOrganizational skillsProficient reading, writing, grammar and math skillsKnowledge of medical terminologyLicensure and Certification: Current BLS provider cardEducation: Completion of accredited program for surgical technicians.Minimum 15 hours CEUs annually.Certification by an accredited agency.Experience: 2 to 3 yrs current OR experience.Responsible for advanced instrumentation and equipment supply and orientation of new ORTs.
