Ensure accurate and timely results, lead complex troubleshooting and process improvements, and support laboratory operations Tuesday through Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.What You'll Be Doing:Perform and report accurate results for assigned automated and manual clinical laboratory proceduresMentor team members, provide technical guidance on specialized techniques, and train junior laboratory staffLead complex troubleshooting, process improvement, operational harmonization, and LEAN 6S initiativesMaintain compliance with local and federal requirements, including CLIA, CAP, GCLP, quality control, and laboratory safety standardsIdentify irregularities or factors that may affect test results and notify the supervisory teamAnalyze laboratory metrics, identify key trends, and oversee projects designed to improve operational performanceSupport staff training and competency assessments and, when qualified and delegated, serve as General Supervisor or Technical SupervisorPerform work in accordance with the ICH E6 Guideline for Good Clinical PracticeWhat We Are Looking For:A Bachelor's Degree of Arts or Science in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Clinical Science or related field or equivalent and relevant experience is required4 years of relevant lab or clinical trials experience is requiredA valid California State Clinical Laboratory license authorizing the performance of laboratory testingTechnical expertise with specialized laboratory equipment, automated chemistry platforms, clinical testing procedures, and applicable laboratory testing regulationsStrong knowledge of Good Clinical Laboratory Practices, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments, College of American Pathologists requirements, and other applicable regulatory standardsKnowledge of the assays performed within the assigned automated chemistry technical areaOther Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degreeThe Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:Ability to analyze and interpret complex laboratory data, operational metrics, and performance trendsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated everyday leadership capabilitiesStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities independentlyUnderstanding of LEAN Six Sigma principles and their application to laboratory process improvementAbility to establish effective working relationships and contribute to cross-functional and multidisciplinary discussionsIndependence and motivation to complete assigned tasks and complex projects with minimal supervisionWhat We Offer You:We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
