Sterile Processing TechJob Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours (15:00 - 23:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in Sterile Processing License: South Carolina license preferred, pending license acceptable with proof of application Certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA required Must-Have: Level 1 Trauma experience required Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping Types of cases preferred: Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedics, transplant, GYN Description: The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments. They will assemble, wrap, and ensure proper sterilization of surgical kits. Experience in a variety of surgical specialties is preferred, including neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedics, transplant, and GYN. Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing. The position may require weekend rotation and floating to meet facility needs. It is crucial to adhere to sterilization protocols and maintain a sterile environment. The technician will work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential for this role. The ability to handle various sterilization equipment and follow strict infection control guidelines is required.
