$1126.08/week - Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for sterilizing, decontaminating, and assembling surgical instruments to ensure safety and readiness for medical procedures. The role requires adherence to strict infection control protocols and collaboration with medical staff across various hospital departments. Responsibilities: Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments following established procedures. Decontaminate, inspect, and assemble medical equipment for upcoming surgeries. Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles and inventory levels. Float within scope to meet facility needs, supporting different hospital units. Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with infection control standards. Work effectively with surgical teams to ensure all instruments meet quality standards. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing or surgical instrument management. Valid national certification such as CBSPD or HSAP is required. Experience working in Level 1 Trauma Centers or similar high-acuity settings preferred. Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, decontamination, and instrument assembly. Ability to work night shifts and adapt to floating across multiple facilities. Credentialing and licenses as required by state regulations.
