Pathway Advisor (8a-5p) Academics - Johnson City, TN

Job Description:
Summary:
The Ballad Health Academy Pathway Advisor position will be responsible for helping to ensure the success of students who enter Ballad Health Academy.
• Will be "student centered" with a focus on identifying, recruiting and advising students and families enrolling in the Ballad Health Academy on both individual and group settings.
• Will travel between assigned schools, monitoring student progress via regular meetings with students and building level stakeholders.
• Will provide relevant school officials (teachers, counselors and administrators) accurate and up-to-date information for participating students at regular intervals.
• Will help conceptualize, organize and lead summer camps.
• Will assist in preparing Project Based Learning (PBL) activities to expose students to the Healthcare industry.
• Will actively engage and complete other duties as determined by the needs of the program.
• Working knowledge of Tennessee College of Applied Technology as well as local Community College LPN and RN requirements.
• Working knowledge of 9-12 graduation requirements.
• Must be able to work as a part of a team and have excellent communications skills.
• Must be able to work with a wide variety of disciplines and skill levels.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a field related to advising, counseling, human relations or other within the scope of work. Experience in primary/secondary and/or post-secondary career counseling preferred.


Licenses and Certifications:
Must possess, or be willing to possess, upon employment, Tennessee Industry 4.0 Diploma Distinction career coach credential.
